Maalik Wayns Has A Sprained MCL, Status Is Day-To-Day
Villanova Wildcats point guard Maalik Wayns has a sprained left MCL according to the school. Joe Juliano twat it.
Wayns' status is currently day-to-day, and since Villanova doesn't have another game scheduled until February 15th at South Florida, Wayns will get some much needed rest without missing any imminent games.
Wayns injured his knee in the comeback win over Providence on Tuesday night.

1. Good to hear it is not overly serious.
2. Good for a struggling team to remove the best player and let some other players prove they can step in and make things happen. We’ll learn alot about some of the other guys if Leek is out a few games. Looking at you Cheek.

Last time I can rememeber a freshman putting Nova on his back to lead them to victory was Scottie against UCONN back in 06. Pinkston literally carried us to a W. I’m just hoping he doesn’t knock someone out on the court at some point in his career. If he can stay healthy and out of trouble, he’s gonna be special.
