Villanova Football Hires Former Maryland DL Coach Dave Sollazzo
Villanova Wildcats football head coach Andy Talley announced that long-time Maryland Terrapins defensive coach Dave Sollazzo will take over as the new defensive line coach for 'Nova. Sollazzo replaces Clint Wiley who left after this past season to take the head coaching job at Sterling High School in New Jersey.
Last season's DL coach, Billy Crocker, will take over the linebackers and special teams to accommodate Sollazzo's hiring
"Dave brings a great deal of experience to our staff," said Talley. "He is an outstanding recruiter with a tremendous reputation. I am very pleased we were able to add someone of Dave's caliber to the staff. He is a great addition to the Wildcat football program."
Sollazzo spent the last 10 years as the defensive line coach at Maryland, where he also served as the recruiting coordinator for the previous 5 seasons. He helped the Terps bring in 72 players ranked in the Top-100 at their respective positions.
This is certainly a huge upgrade for 'Nova football as they continue to look to transform themselves into a major program.

Here's a pic - looks animated

I prematurely shot my wad, if you will, on what was supposed to be a dry run, and now it looks like I have something of a mess on my hands.
