Villanova Lacrosse Takes On #2 Notre Dame This Saturday!
It just dawned on me about an hour ago while I was scouring the internetz for anything Villanova Wildcats basketball news that it's about to become dead-season around here. Ya know, minus that football decision that is coming up in less than 2 weeks.
So I've decided I'm going all in with the Villanova men's lacrosse team. Currently ranked 8th in the nation, there's not a better time to jump on that bandwagon, making this the first time in my life I've actually joined a bandwagon. And what a feeling it is!
After barely falling to the #1-ranked Syracuse Orange last week (We'll see you in the tournament Nunes), things don't get any easier for the 'Cats as they travel to South Bend, IN this weekend to take on the #2-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Fun times!
Villanova.com has a great preview of the game, and hell, who knew that ND was our first ever Big East win?
Last Time vs. Notre Dame (4/3/10): The No. 15 Villanova Wildcats secured their first-ever BIG EAST win with a four-goal fourth quarter performance to rally over No. 18 Notre Dame, 9-8, at Villanova Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Kevin Cunningham led the team with three goals and one assist while Paul Webber and Mark Scioscia each contributed with two goals apiece in front of the biggest home crowd of the season with 1,293 fans in attendance. With the victory, Villanova reached their ninth consecutive home win dating back to March 14, 2009 and gained their first win over the Irish since 1992.
Why wasn't the 'Nova-'Cuse game on TV? And why isn't this game on TV? I have no idea, because despite popular belief, I actually do enjoy watching the college lax Final 4 every year.
Either way, Go 'Cats.

lax on tv this weekend
If you want to see some lax on tv this weekend, the latter 2 games in the Big City Classic at the New Meadowlands stadium will be on ESPNU. My brother played in this tournament last year, and Mark Sanchez came out on the field the day before the game and was throwing the football around with the his team.
Will keep that in mind....
I prematurely shot my wad, if you will, on what was supposed to be a dry run, and now it looks like I have something of a mess on my hands.
