Around SBN: Josh Hamilton Reportedly Seen Drinking In Dallas Bar

"We can keep getting better,’’ Wright said. "If we can win this next game and get more practice, we can. I don’t know if we’re ready to win this next game.’’

Well that just inspires a ton of confidence. Excuse me while I go throw up.

MORE PRACTICE?????

What the hell have you been doing since November???? If you don’t have your shit together now, it ain’t coming together after 2 or 3 more practices. IF, a BIG IF, you win Saturday, how many more practices are you gonna really get in? Sunday? maybe… Monday? Yes… Tuesday? Yes. Wednesday? Travel to Houston… Prob not. Thursday? TOO FREAKIN LATE.

Jay might as well come out in a tweed suit

Cause he ain’t talking like the guy who dresses confidently.

My father was a military man. Guess I wasn't such a 'good soldier.' Anyways, when I was 35 he attempted to give me a crew-cut while I was asleep. I woke up, broke his arm, haven't seen him since.

He’s just telling the truth. I can’t fault him for that.

Man, the internets are alive today complaining that the refs handed the game to Nova. I don’t know. I mean, at least Nova put themselves in the position to try to get those calls. And Scottie still had to make those free throws. Plus, Nova has been screwed by so many calls in the past in the tourney, that I have a difficult time feeling sorry for Robert Morris.

A couple of former BB players were saying on ESPN this morning that there’s an unwritten rule that on the road you have to have a 15 point lead for the refs to give you the benefit of calls in college and 10pts in the NBA. I have no reason not to believe them.

Refs were very one-sided...

Even as a ’Nova homer I can admit that. Although a lot of people are complaining about that foul/jump ball call on Stokes. If you watch the replay, the refs got it right. None of the RM guys ever came close to getting a grip on the ball, and the guy behind him (who the foul was called on) was bearhugging him without touching the ball.

Some of the calls that got Scottie to the line would have had us SCREAMING if they called that on us though.

Oh well, as you said, past tournaments we’ve gotten KILLED and it’s completely fair to say that all season long we got a horrible whistle, so it’s just all evening out.

We can’t rely on that tomorrow though.

I agree

The refs gave Nova a lot of calls in that game, no doubt about it, but the foul/jump ball call on Stokes was the right call. That was a foul; RM players were hardly touching the ball.

Today on Mike and Mike

Doug Gottlieb (filling in for Golic) was railing on the officials. I love to hear a convicted credit card fraud railing on morals and ethics.
