Update: JayVaughn Pinkston Incident
UPDATE (Monday Night): Jay Wright has spoken. He says Pinkston will continue to practice with the team, but his status is uncertain for Friday's opener.
UPDATE: Det. Sgt. Jeffrey Maurer said Upper Merion police are investigating an incident that took place at a rental property Saturday. No charges have been filed and no arrests were made. Police don't anticipate a decision until later this week.
Villanova has been made aware of the incident involving JayVaughn Pinkston, and will review the situation according to The Associated Press. From people I've spoken with, meetings are being held today.
The Nova Blog was first to report the rumour yesterday, and now it appears that this is a confirmed event. The most latest details from our sources suggest Pinkston was involved in an altercation at an off-campus party, but until more emerges, we're not going to speculate further than that.
The is a very serious infraction if the rumours are true, and could warrant a more lengthy suspension than Reggie Redding received last year for possession of marijuana.
We'll keep you posted as more details emerge.

Interesting tidbit
From a New York Post story:
“The Brooklyn native, who was a McDonald’s All-American and New York Post Player of the Year last season, couldn’t be reached for comment, but a source close to Pinkston told The Post the altercation stemmed from an incident at the team’s practice facility.
A source said Pinkston was locked in the laundry room at the facility by two males. The 6-foot-7, 260-pound 18-year-old broke the door down and allegedly got involved in an altercation with the two at a nearby party, a source told The Post."
Completely false.
My father was a military man. Guess I wasn't such a 'good soldier.' Anyways, when I was 35 he attempted to give me a crew-cut while I was asleep. I woke up, broke his arm, haven't seen him since.
